JUNIOR SOUS CHEF / SOUS CHEF
Sargasso is looking for a chef with a genuine interest in seasonal, ingredient-led cooking to join our kitchen team on the Margate Harbour Arm.
Our food is simple, thoughtful and produce-driven. We work closely as a small team, valuing consistency, curiosity and a calm, professional approach to service. This is a role for someone keen to develop their craft while contributing to a collaborative kitchen environment by the sea.

The role
– Support daily prep and service alongside the senior kitchen team
– Maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness and organisation
– Help train and support junior chefs
– Assist with stock control and minimising waste
– Contribute ideas and development of seasonal dishes
Requirements
– Experience in a professional kitchen (CDP level or similar)
– Strong work ethic and attention to detail
– Good understanding of food safety and kitchen systems
– Interest in seasonal cooking and teamwork
FRONT OF HOUSE
As we move into the busy summer season, we are looking for full-time and part-time Front of House team members to join us at Sargasso on the Margate Harbour Arm.
Previous hospitality experience is preferred, though training will be provided. We are looking for positive, hard-working individuals with a genuine interest in food, wine and thoughtful service, and who enjoy working as part of a close, professional team.
