Please note:

We do not have provision for own toilet facilities and rely on the public toilets provided by the council on the harbour arm. We are working with the council to build our own facilities in the near future. The toilets on the Harbour Arm are closed for refurbishment from March to June. Temporary toilets will be available near Droit House.

Our restaurant is a unique building on Margate’s stone pier, often weathered by the ebb and flow of the North Sea. It is a wonderful space that can at times be challenging to keep open when impacted by prevailing weather conditions. For this reason, please be aware when you book with us we may occasionally have to cancel at short notice.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Sargasso is a small wine bar with food, consisting of counter seating and high window tables, nestled against the sea wall of Margate’s harbour arm.

An informal place to enjoy cooking influenced by the European coasts.  Seafood and vegetables take centre stage, as well as a focused snack menu served alongside a wine and drinks list equally, all written with the seasons in mind.

A place to stop for an aperitif and snack or work your way through the menus with (or without) friends. Food and drink to be enjoyed while soaking up the Margate sun and skyline or when taking refuge from the wild North Sea coast.

Online bookings are open. Walk-ins are available.

We are resuming our Sargasso Sundays events. Watch this space for updates on upcoming events.
