Sargasso is a small wine bar with food, consisting of counter seating and high window tables, nestled against the sea wall of Margate’s harbour arm.

Dinner: 8:45pm (Mon–Thu & Sun) | 9:45pm (Fri–Sat)

We take bookings for up to 4 guests. For larger groups, please email enquiries@sargasso.bar — we’ll do our best to accommodate. All bookings are for indoor tables. Outside tables are bookable via email only within 48 hours of the reservation time, as the space is not covered.

We ask for credit card details to secure all reservations. This helps protect us against no-shows and cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice. We’ll always do our best to rebook your table, but if we’re unable to, a cancellation fee may apply.

All seating is on stools. Bookings for two are seated at the bar by default — you can request alternatives, but we can’t always guarantee changes. Because of the size of the space, only small / well behaved dogs are allowed and we ask they are kept underneath your seats or table and not on your lap.

Due to space limitations, baby slings are recommended. If bringing a pram, please include a note with your booking — you may be asked to fold it on arrival depending on available space. Likewise, if you plan to bring a dog, please let us know in advance when making your reservation.
